Finally Finished

Two more quilts completed and ready to enjoy! I quilted the first top within a few days of receiving it FedEx. Two-day mail is always enough to get my attention and add to my guilt if I let the piece sit around for any length of time. In spite of all of Sally's afflictions, she'd worked hard to finish it for her granddaughter (this added to my sense of urgency). Actually, Dory is something like a second cousin once removed, so we'll just call her a granddaughter. She graduated from college recently and started her first job as a kindergarten teacher. The quilt was designed to hang in her classroom and I'm sure it will captivate the children with it's bright colors and school buses.

The second quilt I finished in February was Sandy's ULS she started a while ago. Actually, it was more than a while ago, but we'll just leave it at that. I had to muster up all my courage to do the ULS as I know first-hand the number of hours that goes into piecing a quilt like that. Mine still sits in the closet waiting to be quilted. Just a bit of binding and sleeve and this work of art will be adorning Sandy's wall for all to admire. And they will!
